Mines To Pines Trail Races

Together we make a trail race worth running

A trail race through the historic Minto Mines — blue lakes, wooded singletrack, punchy climbs, and a campfire start/finish at Tiny Trails Campground. Run a 50km solo ultramarathon, build a relay team, or come for the evening 10km and stay by the fire to cheer the night runners through their loops.

About

Mines to Pines Trail Races offers three distances: a 10km loop (solo), 50km ultramarathon (solo) and 60km relay (teams of 2 or 3) with an evening start for a unique running experience. The course follows a landscape in transition — from mines to pines — through a former coal mining site in Minto, Grand Lake, New Brunswick on trails developed and maintained by the Mountain Bike Minto community.

Basecamp at Tiny Trails

The new loop starts and ends at Tiny Trails Campground, so runners pass the campfire each lap. Campsites can be booked on the Tiny Trails website from $45/night and shared by multiple runners. Overflow camping nearby (contact race directors for more information).

Stay onsite, rest before driving, and wake up close to the trails.

Supporters welcome

Bring sleeping bags, blankets, lawn chairs, small tents, and whatever helps you support your runner comfortably. Crewing is permitted at the start/finish around the campfire at Tiny Trails.

Recognizing Mountain Bike Minto

In 2012, Dr. Sean Morrissy saw trail-building potential in the woods behind his office. Mountain Bike Minto has since stewarded what they call some of the best singletrack in Eastern Canada. Each registration contributes to their trails and ongoing work.
